Kulpin Song Contest 2007

Festival of novel Slovak songs was organized for the first time in 2006. The interest showen by the audience was fabulous. That encouraged people responsibile for bringing this event to see the day light, Mr Pavel Gaza and his associates to thank about running it over but this time even better.
The first part has been already done. Radio and TV station Novi Sad, especially Slovak department, organized preliminary competition and fourteen songs were chosen. The main event will take place on September 16-on Sunday at the Casle in Kulpin.
The music will be played by RTV Novi Sad Folk Orchestra and the conductor is Mr Ferenc Kovač.
During the break the Folk Orchestra Rosicka from Kovacica will perform their music and entertain the audience.
Those who will introduce the performers are: Miss Jarmila Zimova and Mr Jan Chalupka. Those who will decide which song is the best are members of the jury: Erzsebet Glusica, Milina Sklabinska, Pavel Tomas, Jan Kopcok, Jovan Jovanović and the audience itself.
Broadcasting of this festival will be direct realized by RTV Novi Sad.
Renewed Song festival
Zlaty kľuč is wellknown festival of Slovak music art since it took place from 1970 to 1988. After a seven-year break it was renewed in Selenca, but only its part concerning dancing. The novel songs had to search for a new home, and finally found it in Kulpin. On June 11, in 2006 the event took place at Museum of Agriculture and justified its existence. Mr Ondrej Maglovski, an eminent musician and composer, is the main initiator of the idea with a little but genial help of KUS Zvolen-Kulpin, Radio and TV Station Novi Sad and local authorities in Kulpin. Competition was organized in customary way and twenty-nine novel songs participated in the contest. The jury chose fifteen song to be recorded on CD and performed on Novi Sad radio station. At the opening night Ana Tomanova Makanova- the chairwoman of Chomber of Nationalities of Slovak National Minority had the honour to address to the audience.
RTV Novi Sad Folk Orchestra and conductor Juraj Ferik and Ferenc Kovač had a duty to perform music well and members of the jury: Erzsebet Glusica, Martin Kmet, Pavel Tomas, Juraj Ferik and Jan Kopcok to chose the best of best.
